Smith did so. He found that the man was not ill but poor. He had not eaten anything for many days.
“Come to my house this evening,” said the doctor to the woman. “I will give you some medicine which may make your husband better.”
In the evening the woman came. DR. Smith gave her a little box which was very heavy.
“this is the medicine which may do good to your husband.” Said the doctor. “But don’t open the box until you reach home.”
When she reached home, she showed the box to her husband and opened it. What do you think they found in it? It was full of money. DR. Smith took pity to the man and the woman who he gave all the money which he had.

Example of Narrative Text; "The Smartest Parrot"


Once upon time, a man had a beautiful parrot. There was no other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot would not say the name of the place where it was born. The name of the place was Catano.
 
The man felt excited having the neatest parrot however he could not understand why the parrot would not say Catano. The person tried to teach the hen to say Catano however the fowl saved not saying the word.
 
At the first, the person was very good to the chicken but then he got very angry. "You silly fowl!" pointed the person to the parrot. "Why can't you say the phrase? Say Catano! Or I will kill you" the man said angrily. Although he tried onerous to teach, the parrot wouldn't say it. Then the person received so angry and shouted to the bird again and again; "Say Catano or I'll kill you". The bird kept to not say the phrase of Catano. 
 
Someday, after he had been attempting so many times to make the hen say Catano, the person really bought very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the hen house. There were 4 outdated chickens for subsequent dinner "You might be as stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them" Stated the man angrily. Then he continued to humble; "You understand, I will cut the chicken for my meal. Subsequent it is going to be your flip, I will eat you too, silly parrot". After that he left the hen house.
 
The subsequent day, the man came again to the rooster house. He opened the door and was very surprised. He couldn't imagine what he noticed on the hen house. There were three loss of life chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming on the final outdated hen; "Say Catano or I'll kill you".

Evaluation the Generic Construction
Orientation: It sets the scene and introduces the members/characters. In that parrot story, the first paragraph is the orientation where reader finds time and place arrange and in addition the participant as the background of the story. A man and his parrot happened as soon as time.
Complication: It explores the conflict in the story. It's going to show the crisis, rising disaster and climax of the story. Within the parrot story, paragraph 2, 3, 4 are describing the complication. Readers will find that the man face an issue of why the parrot can't say Catano. To repair this problem, the man tried to show the bird. How onerous he tried to teach the bird is the excitement factor of the complication.
Decision: It reveals the situation which the issues have been resolved. It must be our note that "resolved" means achieved whether or not succeed or fail. In the final paragraph of the smartest parrot story, readers see the issue is finished. The parrot could discuss the word which the man wanted. The parrot stated the phrase with higher degree than the person taught the phrase to it. That was the smartest parrot.

Cinderella

Once upon a  time, there lived an unhappy young girl with her stepmother and two step sisters who didn't like her. All the nice things, kind thought and loving touches were for her own daughters. But, for the poor unhappy girl, there was nothing at all. For she had to work hard all day, and only when evening came was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders. That is how she got her nickname, for everybody called her Cinderella.

It was quite true. Cinderella, even dressed in rags with a dusty gray face from the cinders, was a lovely girl. While her stepsisters, no matter how splendid and elegant their clothes, were still clumsy, lumpy, and ugly. 

One day, a ball was to be held by the royal family of the kingdom to find the prince's spouse. Cinderella's stepsisters ordered beautiful new dress for the ball. Cinderella wanted to go to the ball but her stepmother asked her to stay at home.

"You? My dear girl, you're staying at home to wash the dishes, scrub the floor and turn down the beds for your stepsisters. They will come home tired and very sleepy." asked her stepmother. 

Cinderella only nodded her head and began to work. Suddenly something amazing happened. In the kitchen, where Cinderella was sitting all by herself, there was a burst of light and a fairy appeared.

"Don't be afraid Cinderella, I know what you feel, my dear. Do you want to go to ball?" asked the fairy. 

"Yes, I do. But look! How can I go to the ball with this dress? Cinderella replied.

Then the fairy turned Cinderella's dress became the most beautiful dress and with beautiful slippers, the loveliest ever seen in the realm. The fairy also turned a pumpkin into a parking coach and turned the mice become six white horses. 

"Now, you can go to the Court and go to the ball. But remember my dear Cinderella, you must leave the ball at midnight and come home. For that is when the spell ends. Your coach will turn back into a pumpkin, the horses will become mice and you will be dressed again in rags with clogs.

At the ballroom, Cinderella amazed everybody there include the prince. When the prince set eyes on Cinderella, he was stuck by her beauty. Walking over to her, he bowed deeply and asked her to dance. Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball. But, all of a sudden, she heard the sound of a clock, the first stroke of midnight. 

Remembered what the fairy had said, Cinderella ran back to the coach and went home. But he lost one of her slippers in ballroom. The prince who was now madly in love with her, picked up her slipper and would search for the girl whose foot fitted with the slipper.

In the next morning, the prince began to search everywhere in the kingdom but no girl whose foot fitted with the slipper. Until he found Cinderella house and asked Cinderella's stepsisters to wear the slipper. But none fitted with the slipper. The prince began hopeless. 

"Is there any girl else here" Asked the prince.

"Yes, there are. But she is very ugly and I think she is not the girl that you are looking for." replied Cinderella's stepmother. 

"Call her here!" Asked the prince.

Then Cinderella's stepmother called Cinderella to come out who was dressed in rags and wore clogs like usual. The prince began to wear the slipper into Cinderella foot, and it was fit. 

The prince believed that Cinderella was the girl he met in the ball. Then the prince asked Cinderella to marry him. And at the end, Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after in the kingdom

The Legend of Rawa Pening


Once upon a time, there was a little poor boy came into a little village. He was very hungry and weak. He knocked at every door and asked for some food, but nobody cared about him. Nobody wanted to help the little boy.
 
Finally, a generous woman helped him. She gave him shelter and a meal. When the boy wanted to leave, this old woman gave him a “lesung”, a big wooden mortar for pounding rice. She reminded him, “please remember, if there is a flood you must save yourself. Use this “lesung” as a boat”. The “lesung” was happy and thanked the old woman.The little boy continued his journey. While he was passing through the village, he saw many people gathering on the field. The boy came closer and saw a stick stuck in the ground. People challenged each other to pull out that stick. Everybody tried, but nobody succeeded. “Can I try?” asked the little boy. The crowd laughed mockingly. The boy wanted to try his luck so he stepped forward and pulled out the stick. He could do it very easily. Everybody was dumbfounded.
 
Suddenly, from the hole left by stick, water spouted out. It did not stop until it flooded the village. And no one was saved from the water except the little boy and the generous old woman who gave him shelter and meal. As she told him, he used the “lesung” as a boat and picked up the old woman. The whole village became a huge lake. It is now known as Rawa Pening Lake in Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia.

Sincere Will Get a Great Return


Once upon a time, there was a kingdom named Auretto, all people lived peacefully there. One of them was Charlita, the king’s daughter who was assumed as the most beautiful and kindest Princess of Auretto.
One day, Charlita looked blue. Because of that her father got confused. “What’s the matter my beautiful daughter? Why are you so sad?” asked King Fernando. Charlita was just silent. She did not say anything.
Then, King Fernando decided to make a competition to cheer Charlita again. After that, the palace representative announce: “I will make a competition. The aim is to make my daughter, Princess Charlita to be happy and laugh again. Everyone who can do it, will get a prize. It will be held tomorrow when the sun rises. Sign: King Fernando.”
The following morning, everybody came to the palace, tried to give their best performance. They seemed happy and laugh, but not for Princess Charlita. She was just silent and still looked sad.
King Fernando started to give up. No one amused his daughter. Then, there came a young handsome man. “Excuse me King Fernando. I would like to join your competition. But, would you mind if I took Princess Charlita for a walk?” said the young man gently. “As long as you make my daughter be happy again, it will totally alright.” said King Fernando. The young handsome man took Princess Charlita for a walk in a beautiful blue lake with a green forest around it. Princess Charlita smiled and looked happy after that. Every body looked happy, too. “I know why are you so my beautiful daughter. Now, I promise I will environment green. I regret for always destroying it. Finally, the environment around the kingdom became so beautiful and green, full of plants. Then, the young handsome man got a prize from the king. “I will marry you off my daughter.” said him. “That is the prize I promise for you. Thanks for keeping our environment well. Thanks for making my daughter happy again.”

The Fairy Tulip

Once upon a time, there was a good old woman who lived in a little house. She had a bed in her beautiful striped tulip garden. One night, she was awakened by the sound of sweet singing and babies laughing. The sounds seemed to come from the tulip bed., but she could see nothing.

On the following night she was again awakened by the sweet singing and the babies' laughing. She arose and walked quietly to the garden. To her surprise, she saw a little fairy mother crooning and rocking athe flower like a cradle. In each cup of the flower lay a little fairy baby playing and laughing.

The old woman walked back to her house, and from that time on she never picked the flowers, nor did she allow her neighbours to touch them.

The Old Woman and The Sparrow

Once upon a time, there lived a kind hearted man and his wife. One morning, his wife found a poor little sparrow. She took it gently and fed it. To show its gratitude, the sparrow stayed with them and sang every morning. But there was an ill-tempered old woman who didn't like the sparrow. She cut the sparrow's tongue. That's why the bird flew away to its previous nest.

Knowing that their sparrow flew away, the kind man and his wife looked for the sparrow. They walked a long way, crossed the bridges, climbed the mountains and passed the woods.

At last, they could find the sparrow's nest. The sparrow welcomed them and provided a feast for them. Before they went home, the sparrow brought two baskets; one was large and looked heavy, and the other one was small and light. The sparrow asked them to choose only one. They chose the small and that was the best choice. There were many rolls of silk and piles of gold in it.

Being jealous, the ill-tempered old woman did the same thing as the kind man and his wife did. She chose the big basket which actually contained wasps and venomous crawlers, such as scorpions, centipedes, and other horrible creatures. Finally, aaathey stung and bit her to death.

Narrative text The Ugly Duckling

One upon time, a mother duck sat on her eggs. She felt tired of sitting on them. She just wished the eggs would break out.

Several days later, she got her wish. The eggs cracked and some cute little ducklings appeared. "Peep, peep" the little ducklings cried. "Quack, quack" their mother greeted in return.

However the largest egg had not cracked. The mother duck sat on it for several days. Finally, it cracked and a huge ugly duckling waddled out. The mother duck looked at him in surprise. He was so big and very gray. He didn't look like the others at all. He was like a turkey.

When the mother duck brought the children to the pond for their first swimming lesson. The huge grey duckling splashed and paddled about just as nicely as the other ducklings did. "That is not a turkey chick. He is my very own son and quite handsome" the mother said proudly.

However, the other animals didn't agree. They hissed and made fun of him day by day. Even his own sisters and brothers were very unkind. "You are very ugly" they quacked.

The little poor duckling was very unhappy. "I wish I looked like them" he thought to himself. One day, the ugly duckling run away and hid in the bushes. The sad duckling lived alone through the cold and snow winter. Finally the spring flowers began to bloom. While he was swimming in the pond, he saw three large white swans swimming toward him. "Oh, dear. these beautiful birds will laugh and peck me too" he said to himself. But the swans did not attack him. Instead, they swam around him and stroked him with their bills. As the ugly duckling bent his neck to speak to them, he saw his reflection in the water. He could not believe his eyes. "I am not an ugly duckling but a beautiful swam" he exclaimed.

He was very happy. From that day on, he swam and played with his new friends and was happier than he had never been.

Narrative text The Purse of Gold

A beggar found a leather purse that someone had dropped in a market place. Opening it, he discovered that it contained 100 pieces of gold. Then he heard a merchant shouted, "A reward! A reaward to the one who find my leather purse!"

Being an honest man, the beggar came forward and handed the purse to the merchant saying, "Here is your purse. Will you keep your word to give a reward now?"\
 
"Reward?" scoffed the merchant greedily counting the amount of gold. "The purse I dropped had 200 pieces of gold in it. You've already stolen more than the reward I'll give to you.! Go away or I'll tell you to the police."

"I'm an honest man," said the beggar defiantly. "Let's take this matter to the court!" In the court, the judge patiently listened to both sides of the story and said, "I believe you both. Justice is possible! Merchant, you stated that the purse you lost contained 200 pieces of gold. Well, that's a considerable cost. But the purse the beggar found had only 100 pieces of gold. Therefore, it couldn't be the one you lost."

And, with that, the judge gave the purse and all the golds to the beggar.
